It is estimated at least 15million people in the UK are dieting right now, including 40% of all women in the UK on some kind of diet at any one time.  Of those who diet, 95% will regain their weight and even more.

The Weight Loss Industry is built on very shaky foundations and many false promises.  For years women and an increasing number of men pursue the body beautiful promise diets sell to the public and long term none actually work.

We are bombarded every day with beautiful skinny people advertising products on TV and in magazines and because of this particularly women flock to the book stores to buy the latest diet trending book or to their local weight watchers group.

Dont get me wrong, initially diets do work, I cant deny that, but the dropping of your calorie intake in such a dramatic manner slows your metabolism down, so when you stop the diet and even eat healthy, you will put weight back on as the slower metabolism cant cope with the calorie intake.

Those who design Fad Diets know people wanting to lose weight are impatient, with many so desperate to lose weight they turn to the latest celebrity endorsed diet on the market.  Weight Watchers which has been around for decades has become a multi-million pound business, with not only weekly meetings, but books, videos and even their own food range in the supermarkets.

We are eating less calories now than we were in the 1950s, we have gyms on almost every street corner, so why is this? Well back in the 1950s many people grew vegetables in their back garden and work was more manual labour.  Now we eat lots of processed food and work tends to be more sedentary.  Even so called diet meals from companies are just processed meals that you can just throw in the microwave for 5mins and are often full of sugar.

DIETS ARE SELLING YOU A LIE…  YOUR BEST OPTION IS TO EXERCISE AT LEAST THREE TIMES PER WEEK AND JUST EAT HEALTHY – DONT DIET, THE ONLY POUNDS YOU WILL ULTIMATELY LOSE ARE FROM YOUR POCKET.
