A world record attempt by Mike Buss
If you’re shopping in Swindon town centre this weekend, why not stop off to cheer on a world record attempt for non-stop running on a treadmill.

Record-breaker:
Mike Buss

Mike Buss, whose aim is to break 20 world fitness records in just 12 months in aid of Help for Heroes, will be pounding away at the Brunel Centre from 12 noon on Saturday.

And to make the challenge even harder, he’ll be carrying a 40lb pack on his back throughout!
The rules will allow him one two-hour rest on Sunday night and two massage breaks, but the rest of the time he will be running non-stop.
“It’s a big challenge but I’m confident I can do it,” Mike told us.
“Any support while I’m doing it would be very much appreciated!”
Buss, who already holds five other world records for endurance running, hopes to raise £100,000 by Christmas for the armed forces charity and £1,000,000 by 2014, when he plans to conquer Everest.
