Mike is Back at the NEC for Leisure Industry Week for next World Record

Mike Buss, back again breaking another world record at this years LIW (Leisure Industry Week) at the Birmingham NEC…

Johnsons Cars of Swindon and fitness equipment provider ‘Jordan FItness’ Sponsored World Record Breaking Endurance Athlete Mike Buss returned again to Leisure Industry Week for another world record after his great success last year running the Hero 100 challenge last year that saw Mike run the last 4 marathons of his 100marathons in 100days on a Star Trac Treadmill at the 2010 show and LIW 2011 saw Mike Break another fitness world record completing the 6hr IRON Soldier Endurance challenge based on the Army Fitness Test seen on Soccer AM on Sky Sports.

Mikes aim was to break past 200 reps in the 6hrs and in true Mike Buss Beyond Impossible style completed 261 reps smashing his target and giving Mike his latest world record. The challenge involved loading and off-loading Jordan sponsored Powerbags onto and off of his Johnsons Cars sponsored Volvo XC90 as many times as possible in the 6hrs.

After the challenge Mike said I think I’ve earnt a good well earned rest so I can get a good look around my favourite show of the year, Mike has been a visitor to LIW for the past 10yrs and after linking up with UBM the organisers of LIW has forged a strong relationship that is set on raising thousands of pounds for Help for Heroes with some amazing fitness challenges in the pipe line with a number of his sponsors who also exhibit at LIW each year including Jordan Fitness, Beaver Fit, Star Trac, Yum Yum Bros and Gatorade.

2012 will see Mike take on more world records and his toughest challenge to date, the greatest distance ran whilst set on fire, yes you heard it right, Mike is currently being trained by one of the top Stunt Co-ordinators in the UK and is looking to take this particular challenge on in May/June 2012.

Other challenges Mike has lined up are to run across the USA as well as Canada, a solo run to the North Pole and a 48hr cross training world record attempt… There is nothing stopping Mike who already is being considered by many of the fitness press as the fittest man in the world and truly standing up to his tag line as Beyond Impossible.
