If you are a passionate runner like me, then you are sure to enjoy going out several times a week for a relaxing jog. Running is a great way to stay fit and toned, as well as manage your weight. Running also drastically increases your heart rate and speeds up your metabolism, allowing you to burn more and more calories every time you run. In addition, if you eat plenty of protein, you are helping to build strong muscles which makes every run easier. If you can effortlessly complete a run which you struggled with at first, then this is a clear sign that you are much stronger and fitter than before. In this case you need to increase the length of your run or build your endurance by running uphill.

If you love running and have tried to convince your friends or your partner to join you, but they aren’t into exercise as much as you, and they prefer to stay at home and play poker.de or they would rather take a walk than going on a run, then you may be interested in finding out how you can increase your running speed. Below are a few exercises for you to try out.
Heel Raise Put your running shoes on and stand on the balls of your feet. Then lower your heels slowly towards the ground until you feel a stretch in your Achilles tendon. When you feel the stretch, stop lowering your feet. Perform 10 repetitions of raising and lowering your feet.  This exercise strengthens your ankles, giving you more power when you push-off.
Lunges When you perform a lunge, this duplicates the airborne position of your legs during a run. This will enable you to take longer strides when you sprint. Begin by standing with your feet hip-width apart, then take a large step forward and bend your front knee. Hold the position for as long as you can before repeating on your other leg.
