This year at the Royal International Air Tattoo, I caught up with Mach 3 Management, a new management team building events company set up by former French Navy pilot Ate.

Mach3 Management brings together the challenging and high-octane world of aviation to the corporate world, using high-tech bespoke VR (Virtual Reality) simulators and coached by experienced combat decorated fighter pilots to offer either fun to a corporate event or management and team building training which will in the words of Mach3 Management’s founder “unleash your team to supersonic speeds.”

Mach3 Management can help with:

  • Team Building
  • Management/Leadership Training
  • Decision Making
  • Stress & Workload Management
  • And many other out of the box skills to transfer to the corporate world after you Mach3 Management experience.

Mach3 Management truly bring you a unique experience where you will learn what it takes to be a modern day combat fighter pilot flying at Mach3.

Example of the flight simulator experience.

Founder of Mach3 Management, Ate grew up with Canadian & French duel citizenship and for a time lived on base at RAF Linto-On-Ouse where his father was an exchange instructor.  After  becoming Europes youngest pilot at the age of 15yrs old in 2001 and flying in the French National Precision Flying Team for the 2006 World Championships, he joined the French Navy to fly jets.

During Ate’s military career, he flew for 26months on an exchange with the US Navy followed by serving on the Charles de Gaulle flying the Super-Etendard.  In 2014 Ate transitioned to flying the Dassault Rafale where he went on to deployed several times flying missions over Iraq from the French aircraft carrier, both during the day and night and received the Cross for Military Valour for meritorious action in the face of the enemy.

Back after operational duties, Ate went on to fly in the French Navy Tactical Display Team as wingman and later becoming display leader in 2017 where I first caught up with Ate at RIAT2017.

Ate finished his military career as Rafale Navy Subject Matter Expert and chief instructor for Rafale in the French Navy.

Since leaving the French Military, Ate has gone on to fly for a major airline on the Boeing 737MAX

Ate who is now married with a family of three, now lives in Hampshire, England has over 2500 flight hours, including more than 1850hrs in fighter aircraft and made over 200 carrier landings.
