RUNcheck is designed to make sure your muscles and joints are in the best condition for running and to help you to maximise your performance and reduce injury.  Whether youve decided to run your first race, or you are an experienced marathon runner, RUNcheck will give you the best out of your running.

Mike Buss has been running competitvely all his life, representing his Unit and the Army, and since leaving the Army has made a name for himself running marathons to ultra marathons, breaking many world records along the way.

So why not get a RUN Check Up from Mike at mikebussPT HQ, The Mercure Hotel, South Marston, nr Swindon.

Running is a high impact and repetitive activity, running can cause injuries. Mike can help you to avoid this.

RUNcheck  aims to make sure your body is in the best condition for running, helping you to maximise performance and reduce the risk of injury.

During the Run Check, you will be assed for your flexibility, joint mobility, strength and core stability, then devise an individual programme to condition your body for running.

Any previous injuries and problems will be discussed to reduce the chance of them reoccuring and getting in the way of you achieving your goals.

We will also look at how you run, checking your gait. Each person is unique and will run differently, which can be a cause of injury. We will analyse your running style (gait analysis) and give advice on how to improve your technique and which type of trainers you should use to help correct any biomechanical problems.

At the end of the Run Check you will be given a summary of the assessment findings and recommendations. This will provide you with:

  • a clear plan regarding your training schedule
  • an individually tailored programme of stretches and stability exercises
  • advice regarding your shoes and injury prevention

For your appointment please bring appropriate clothing, such as shorts and a t-shirt, and your current running shoes.

“Ive been running marathons for several years, but after feeling a few injuries, I decided to book an apointment with Mike and his Run Check Clinic.  I thought I knew plenty about running, but after having my gait analised and finding it was being affected by wearing the wrong shoes.  Now Im running injury free and puting in PBs every time.”  John Roberts.
