My name is Hannah Boardman and I am a graduate sports therapist and with over 10 years experience of working in the industry.  Boardman Sports Therapy aims to provide you with the highest level of sports therapy treatment.  According to the Society of Sports Therapists (2010) a sports therapist is someone who;

·  Has the knowledge and ability to provide first aid and attend to injuries in a recreational, training and competitive environment.

·  Has the knowledge and ability to assess and, where appropriate, refer on for specialist advice and intervention.

·  Has the knowledge and ability to provide sports massage pre and post activity.

·  Has the knowledge and ability to implement appropriate rehabilitation programmes.

·  Has the knowledge to utilise sports and exercise principles to optimise preparation and injury prevention programmes.

At the Boardman Sports Therapy clinic we can offer you:

  • Treatment for current injuries or ‘old’ injuries
  • Injury prevention strategies
  • Pre/Post event Massage
  • General Massage
  • Rehabilitation programmes.
  • Strapping and Taping

 

Appointments are available: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from early until late

Initial consultation: £30 1hr (approx) appointment

Follow-up:                    £20 30min (approx) appointment

Massage:                       £20 30-45min appointment

Qualifications:

  • HND Sports and Exercise Therapy
  • BSc (Hons) Sports Therapy (2:1)
  • VTCT Level 3 in Swedish Massage, Aromatherapy and Indian Head Massage
  • Currently undertaking an MSc in Applied Human Nutrition

 

A little bit about me in the past I have worked in a wealth of sports including ice hockey, rugby, martial arts and cycling from recreational level to international athletes.  I relish new challenges and love working in the industry.  I have been teaching sports therapy to undergraduate students for 5 years full time, but have recently changed to teaching part-time after the recent birth of my daughter.
