Olympic Dream for Alesha Dixon
Alesha Dixon best known for her singing career and being a judge on Britains Got Talent has made it through qualifying for the GB Olympic Team on the fencing team.
The former Strictly Come Dancing champion said she was totally stunned when she found out, especially as she had only picked up a foil recently for Sport Relief back in February.
Alesha is now having to balance her commitments of BGT along side Simon Cowel and her training leading up to the Olmpics this summer. Alesha beat fellow celebrity Claire Richards from Steps in the final at Bognor Regis.
After her victory she was whisked away for more training after being told the news of making it into the GB Squad. “its a blur” Alesha said as one minute she was fighting other celebs in the name of charity and then told she is going to the Olympics.
Alesha has said Simpon Cowel thinks it is hilarious, but Britains Olympic Fencing Coach Olga Prafglosi said she couldnt believe her eyes watching Alesha in action. The Russian born trainer has said Alesha is the most naturally gifted fencer she has seen in years.
Could this be a career move? Could Alesha end up with a Gold Medal at the Games this summer? Lets hope Alesha well
