Extreme Energy 2016 Event Update

We hope that you all had a fabulous Christmas with your friends and family, and enjoying the holiday break (if you have one!).

We know that during this week many of us set our plans for 2016 including our race plans. Setting out our “A” race for the year, our “B” races, our training races and our fun events. There are those races that go in the diary every year whatever else we are doing.

At Extreme Energy we are very privileged that several of our races seem to be must do’s for you every year, and then the races we organize that are a must do for Marathon Des Sables training or ones that go into the diary for UTMB points collecting. The full event list for 2016 and the status is listed below.

TWO SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENTS:

ANNOUNCEMENT: The Sealskinz Ultra Trail Series 2016

In 2016 we are delighted to announce that our whole series of Ultra’s will be sponsored by Sealskinz – Endurance Accessories perfect for Endurance Athletes.

We also have a very special announcement to make. A new addition to our race diary for 2016.

ANNOUNCEMENT: 22nd October 2016 The HUMANITY DIRECT “Free to enter” 50km Ultra Challenge.

Start line of Extreme Energy Druids Ultra

Start line of Extreme Energy Druids Ultra

This 50km route starting in Tring (the home of Extreme Energy), will take in many of the stunning routes in the surrounding area including – the Grand Union Canal, The Chiltern Hills, Dunstable Downs, Ivinghoe Beacon and we have got special permission to run through the Ashridge Estate which is very rare.

The event will be FREE to enter – £0 cost, no charge with no obligation to raise a certain amount of money for charity. The only quid pro quo is that we will send all competitors a link to the Humanity Direct website where you will be able to sponsor the operation for one of the child patients on the website. Some operations are as little as £50 and all your money is used for that particular child, nothing goes to running the organization.

Entries for this event will be limited to 150 and will be open for entry on the 18th January 2016 at 0800. Once the event is full we will run a waitlist.
